The Khronos Group announces the launch of the SYCL 2020 Adopters Program to enable implementations to become officially conformant to the latest-generation SYCL specification—and to ensure that SYCL is consistently implemented by multiple vendors to create a reliable platform for developers. SYCL 2020 is the open industry standard for single source C++-based heterogeneous parallel programming. The SYCL Working Group has released an updated Conformance Test Suite (CTS) as part of the SYCL 2020 Adopters Program, making it available as an open source GitHub project to enable broad industry participation in implementation testing and ongoing test suite improvements.

Khronos Launches 3D Commerce Viewer Certification Program
Today, The Khronos® Group announces the release of the 3D Commerce Viewer Certification Program. 3D viewers are software engines that enable users to display and interact with 3D models. Viewers are used by retailers, social media sites, and brands to create experiences on ecommerce storefronts, search engines, ad platforms, and in native applications. The Viewer Certification Program enables 3D viewers across the industry to demonstrate that they can accurately and consistently display 3D products, clearing the way for reliable 3D and AR-powered shopping across multiple platforms and devices. Varjo Achieves Full Conformance with OpenXR 1.0
Varjo is now OpenXR 1.0 conformant. Varjo’s entire portfolio of virtual and mixed reality headsets (current and previous generations) are now fully compatible with the OpenXR 1.0 standard. As a result, developers can more easily take advantage of Varjo’s unique VR/XR capabilities while conforming to industry standards and ensuring true cross-platform experiences.
NVIDIA is Now OpenCL 3.0 Conformant
Today NVIDIA announced fully conformant OpenCL 3.0 for Windows and Linux on Maxwell and later GPUs. Existing OpenCL 1.x based applications will continue to work with NVIDIA’s OpenCL 3.0 drivers without any changes. In addition to full OpenCL 1.2 compatibility, NVIDIA’s OpenCL 3.0 drivers now deliver significant optional OpenCL 3.0 functionality. Developers can try out the R465 drivers with OpenCL 3.0 today.
Microsoft OpenGL over D3D12 is officially conformant
Collabora has been working with Microsoft on their D3D12 mapping layer. We’re excited to share that we have recently passed the OpenGL 3.3 conformance tests and have upstreamed the code in Mesa 3D! Also, I'm happy to report that Microsoft has released their compatibility pack that uses our work to provide OpenGL (and OpenCL) support. Photoshop can now run on both Windows on ARM CPUs! This is exciting to see high-profile applications like that benefit from our work!
OpenXR Adopters Program Launched and Conformance Tests Open Sourced
In a significant step in OpenXR’s rollout across the industry, the OpenXR Working Group has released its Conformance Test Suite, published the tests as Apache 2.0-licensed open source software on GitHub, and launched the OpenXR 1.0 Adopters Program so that implementations can be officially conformant for the first time. Products which are currently in conformance with OpenXR may be found on the Khronos website.
OpenVX API for Raspberry Pi
The Khronos Group and Raspberry Pi have come together to work on an open-source implementation of OpenVX™ 1.3, which passes conformance on Raspberry Pi. The open-source implementation passes the Vision, Enhanced Vision, & Neural Net conformance profiles specified in OpenVX 1.3 on Raspberry Pi.
